We have to move by August but baby boy is due in May so April, May and June will be tough months to move during. June, July and August are busy months for SnoShack... so really, the sooner we could get moved and settled, the better.
We've been casually looking for a house for a couple of months now. Casually in that we haven't contacted a realtor. I kind of thought that we would find something on our own, but no luck. There's just nothing on the market in this area right now (to rent or to buy) that would work for us.
We decided to give a friend of ours a call. He's the one we bought the town home from and he's also a realtor. He showed us a couple of houses that haven't been put on the market yet, and one of them might just be what we're looking for.
We don't know for sure.
Things are still up in the air.
But it's a good possibility.
The little kids love the house. Bre could take it or leave it. I think she'd love it if she could compare it to the other houses we've looked at and considered.
It does need some work. The kitchen and dining room are small, the fireplace is ghastly and the master bathroom is, well... a sorry sight. But there's plenty of sq. footage, the yard is big and the neighborhood is good. The house is a few minutes outside of town. Not so far that it's a pain, but far enough that we'd have a little more breathing room.
We've loved living where we've lived for the past year. I've loved living so close to everything. Bre loves the high ceilings. I've loved the huge windows. Brooklynn and Mia love having big rooms and closets. And the kids will all be sad to leave their friends here, but it's gonna happen.
And even though I might be jumping the gun just a little bit, I started packing today. Getting rid of things we don't need. Sorting through things we do. I don't know when exactly we'll be moving I just know that we will be, so we've got a lot of work ahead of us.
Might as well get started.

Holy smokes, I forgot all about the fact that you'd be moving eventually!
Good luck in the house search. It can be tough to move, but its usually one of those things that is tough in the doing of it, but once you've moved, things come together pretty quickly and you make yourselves at home.
