Canvas Photo- Before and After

Remember this from a week or so ago?

I liked how it turned out... but I didn't love how it turned out. The photo was too small for the canvas. I would have liked it better if the picture had been bigger or the canvas had been smaller. I didn't like the white border on the picture and I didn't like that the black border was uneven.

So I cut up some wood...

...painted it grey, hot glued it together (because using wood glue and clamps is such a pain) and then used a finish nailer to secure the corners. Then I filled the gaps in the corners with wood filler (I probably should have done that before I painted but I'm an amateur so whatever) then sanded and painted it one more time. 

 Then I hot glued (yep) the frame onto the canvas and viola. Now I love it.
