Spiralizer:
A friend told me about this cool machine that her sister uses to make cucumber salad. She told me that it would cut the cucumber into noodle shapes but she couldn't remember what the cool machine was called or where her sister got it.
I did a little looking (isn't Google great?) and found this spiral vegetable slicer on Amazon for like 30 bucks and it. is. super.
I love it.
I made cucumber salad the other night and it was great. My kids didn't like it but Ryan did. Today we used the spiral cutter to cut an apple into super skinny, flat pieces. Awesome. The kids gobbled them up.
It's easy to clean and easy to store.
Cucumber noodles.
Double circle mini magnet necklace:
I've had a gift card to Deseret Book for a while now and decided that I'd better use it before it gets lost. When I went in yesterday I found this necklace that I LOVE. The little circles are magnets that are interchangeable. I like simple jewelry and I have a hard time finding stuff that I like, but I love this necklace.
Reusable water bottles for kids:
In an attempt to cut back on the amount of cups we go through every day and to encourage the kids to drink more water, I got these Rubbermaid water bottles at Fred Meyer last week. They were only $9.99 for the set but when I looked them up on Amazon they were $22. Not sure why the price was so different. The kids each chose two and wrote their names on them with a permanent marker. Brooklynn takes hers to school with her. Mia keeps hers in her room. Mason just leaves his around the kitchen and I see him using it throughout the day. The amount of dirty cups in the sink at the end of the day has gone way down. Fantastic.
